Meet UCPCC's newest hire, Wayne Picard

Wayne J. Picard has taken on the role of director of development and marketing for United Cerebral Palsy Central California.

Picard comes to UCPCC with more than 30 years of experience in creating, planning and executing special events and marketing communication initiatives for corporations, nonprofits and associations.

His first position after graduating from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass., was with Walt Disney World, working as part of the production team for the grand opening of the Florida theme park.

Since then, he’s owned his own promotional agency, and worked marketing and sales for companies in Atlanta and Boston.

Picard handled fundraising and event activities for the longest-running Fourth of July celebration in Bristol, Rhode Island.

Picard has been in the Fresno area for the last three years, working for The Painted Table and Media Solutions before landing at UCPCC.

He is a member of the Fresno Rotary and Sigma Phi Epsilon, and volunteers for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Picard has a daughter who teaches at Bullard High School.
