Happy STEPtember! It's time to get moving for UCPCC

Today is the day! STEPtember is in full swing!

Wait! You haven't registered because you need more details? We get that. There's so much information vying for our attention that even a global, virtual fundraiser like STEPtember can get lost in the shuffle.

The two most important things to know about STEPtember are 1) United Cerebral Palsy Central California is participating in this global initiative to raise funds to support the

services we provide children and adults with disabilities and 2) for only $1 per day for 28 days, you can attempt to take 10,000 steps per day in the name of your own health at your own pace doing .... WHATEVER gets you motivated to MOVE!

Once you are registered, you can track your movement and donations on your page at www.steptember.us. STEPtember even has a mobile app you can download from Apple's App Store or in the Google Play Store.

Every ability is welcome and encouraged to be part of our team. You can walk, run, swim, wheel -- even goat yoga - all count toward your step goals.

To join up and support UCPCC, register here as an individual or as a team of up to four people, click on "Join an Organization," search for UCPCC, and GET TO STEPPIN'!

Once you're all signed up, tell your friends, family, and everyone you know what you're up to. Even better - how about challenging your squad to join in on some "friendly competition" to see who can reach the 10,000 steps-per-day goal?!?!

The individuals and teams with the most steps and the most money raised will qualify for a drawing of a new TV or new Fitbits!

Seventy percent of the funds we raise through STEPtember support UCPCC’s programs and 30% goes directly to cerebral palsy research.

IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO REGISTER! If you have questions, please email Roger Slingerman at rogers@ucpcc.org or call (559) 221-8272.
