Cameron - Fresno, Home Adaptive Program

Updated: Jun 28, 2019

Cameron started at UCPCC in March 2018. He works with Matt in our Home Adaptive Program. They work on regaining Cameron’s ability to ambulate and build strength to help aid in weight loss.

Their biggest priority is practicing walking. During the start of their training, Cameron had unstable ankles, and feared certain challenges, like putting all his weight through his feet. Matt continued encouraging him, and helping him, to the point they both trusted each other enough for Cameron to take steps in the gait trainer without relying on his upper body.

It was a huge accomplishment for Cameron, and a proud moment for Matt. Cameron has the biggest desire to achieve his goals, and with teamwork, he and Matt have surpassed all challenges they have faced. Since starting at UCPCC, Cameron has lost 38.4lbs. Making his total weight loss 230lbs!

"I like UCP because it is fun to interact with the other students. Physical Therapy has helped me lose a ton of weight and has built my confidence and self-esteem" ~Cameron
