The Organization
UCPCC was founded by a group of dedicated community volunteers and parents of persons with cerebral palsy back in 1954. In 1954, we had one program and served 15 children with cerebral palsy. Today, we serve more than 1,100 children and adults, along with their families, with a broad range of disabilities and special needs, including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, traumatic brain injuries, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We have grown to include 9 programs for children and adults; each designed to fulfill our mission to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. We serve six counties in Central California, including Fresno, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Kern, and Tulare counties.
As we continue to grow, our vision remains the same, we will not waiver in our commitment of understanding disabilities and creating opportunities.
