On January 15th several students and employees of UCP of Central California made the 3 hour trek to the Capitol in Sacramento to participate in a rally to support persons with disabilities. The rally was organized by Marty Omoto who is a well known advocate for individuals with disabilities. People from all over the state held up signs of protests while chanting "no more cuts, we're people too!" The rally took place during the Governor's State of the State address. The rally started off small, but before it ended there were over 300 participants. It was very moving to see students from UCP be passionate about something that is important to them.
